Sales and Returns Policy

How an order is formed, delivery, payment, right of withdrawal and non-returnable goods.

Last updated: August 9, 2026

These terms apply to purchases from Akdeniz Birlik Zeytin ve Zeytinyağı. By submitting the order form you confirm that you have read and accepted them.

1. Seller

  • Company: Akdeniz Birlik Zeytin ve Zeytinyağı
  • Address: Merkez, Atatürk Blv., 80720 Yarbaşı / Düziçi / Osmaniye
  • Email: info@akdenizbirlik.com · Phone: +90 531 338 70 86

2. How an order is formed

Payment is not taken on the site itself but after the order call. The process is:

  1. You build your cart and submit the order form.
  2. Your order reaches us by email and you receive a confirmation email with an order number. This email does not mean the sale is final — it confirms your request has reached us.
  3. We call you with the current price, shipping cost and lead time.
  4. After your approval we share the payment details: our bank account for bank transfer, or the bank's secure payment link for credit card.
  5. Once payment clears, the goods are prepared and dispatched.

3. Price and payment

Prices vary with harvest and market conditions and are therefore not published on the site; they are quoted during the order call. You can pay by bank transfer or by credit card. For card payments our team sends you the bank's secure payment link; card details are never requested or stored on this site.

4. Delivery

  • Courier: delivered to your address across Türkiye.
  • Collection: collect from our Düziçi/Osmaniye facility at a time agreed with us.
  • Freight: pallet and tanker volumes are planned separately.

Delivery normally takes 3–7 business days from cleared payment; this may vary during harvest season, in which case we will inform you.

5. Damaged deliveries

Please inspect the parcel in the courier's presence. If you see crushing, moisture or leakage, refuse the delivery and have the courier issue a damage report. With a damage report we replace the goods free of charge. Without one we may be unable to accept liability, as the carrier cannot be held to account.

6. Right of withdrawal

Under the Turkish Distance Contracts Regulation, consumers may withdraw within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason. Send withdrawal notices to info@akdenizbirlik.com.

Where the right of withdrawal does not apply

Under Article 15 of the Regulation, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for:

  • Foodstuffs whose packaging has been opened. Olive oil is a foodstuff, so bottles, tins and drums whose cap or seal has been opened cannot be returned. For hygiene and food safety reasons such goods cannot be resold.
  • Perishable goods or goods liable to expire.
  • Goods made to your specification or clearly personalised (including private-label production).
  • Bulk shipments delivered in tanks or flexitanks.

What can be returned

Goods that are unopened, with seals intact and in resaleable condition may be returned within 14 days, in their original packaging and with the invoice. Unless the goods are defective, return shipping is at the consumer's expense.

7. Defective goods

If goods are defective (e.g. spoiled contents, wrong item shipped), your rights under the Turkish Consumer Protection Law apply regardless of the withdrawal period. We will replace the goods or refund you, and we cover the shipping cost.

8. Refunds

For accepted returns, the amount is refunded to the bank account used for payment within 14 days of the goods reaching us.

9. Storage warning

Store olive oil in a cool, dark place with the cap closed. Spoilage caused by unsuitable storage (direct sunlight, proximity to heat sources) is not treated as a defect.

10. Dispute resolution

Please raise complaints first at info@akdenizbirlik.com. For unresolved disputes you may apply, within the monetary thresholds announced by the Ministry of Trade, to the Consumer Arbitration Committee or the Consumer Court in your place of residence.
