Akdeniz Birlik Zeytin ve Zeytinyağı ("Company", "we") acts as the data controller under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"). This notice explains how we handle personal data collected through akdenizbirlik.com.

There is no membership system on this site and no account is required. We only process what you provide:
- Identity and contact: name, phone number, email address
- Order and delivery: delivery address, city/district, order contents and your notes
- Invoicing: company name, tax office and tax number if you request a company invoice
- Security: your IP address on form submission (temporarily, solely to prevent abuse)

3. Purposes and legal grounds
- Receiving your order, contacting you, preparing and delivering goods — necessary for the performance of a contract
- Issuing invoices and keeping statutory records — compliance with legal obligations
- Answering your requests and improving our service — our legitimate interests
- Measuring site usage — our legitimate interests. Analytics cookies are enabled by default; you can turn them off at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer. Data is evaluated in aggregate and your IP address is anonymised.
4. Sharing
We never sell your data. We share it only as far as the service requires:
- Courier and freight companies — name, phone and address so delivery can be made
- Our email provider (Resend) — to deliver order and confirmation emails
- Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) — to operate and serve the website
- Our accountant and competent authorities — where legally required
Some of these providers operate servers abroad; such transfers are carried out under Article 9 of the KVKK with appropriate safeguards.
5. Retention
Order and invoice records are kept for the period required by law (10 years for commercial and tax records). Contact form messages are kept for a maximum of 2 years and then deleted.
6. Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you may ask whether your data is processed, request information, rectification or erasure, object to processing, and claim compensation for damages.
